95% FO

The yellow baby sweater is done, except for the buttons. Not sure which ones to pick. There are buttonholes on both bands. I will stitch a set of buttons to some grosgrain or cloth tape and push the buttons through on one side. I fear that both these sets of buttons look kind of girly. I realize that a 6-month old boy won't care, but someone at work suggested FROG buttons, so I'm going to look for those.
I have a pattern for worsted weight booties. I will probably start those tomorrow.

Did the person at work have any idea what "frog" means to knitters? That's too funny. Beautiful sweater, well done (read, I want grandkids!)

Adorable sweater, and I vote for the yellow buttons. Great job on it.

That is a beautiful sweater! And if we get to vote on the buttons, I like the white ones.

Tricky about the buttons - I like the contrast colour of the green ones, but the size of the white/yellow ones. Great sweater with either set of buttons!

I love the button comments, folks! Since there was some concern locally that both sets were too girly, I went back to button store and got at least 2 more options. Will post them over the weekend, have an out-of-town reunion tomorrow. - EB

I really love this sweater. Like Alison, I'm yearning for grandkids.I'd go with the yellow buttons myself.
