I need a 12-stitch, er, step program....

Hello, my name is Eileen and I'm a yarn addict.

Hello, Eileen.

I've been on a buying binge lately. I can't seem to get away from the needles.

What's that all about, Eileen?

I don't know. Yesterday, I met with some friends and they said they had to go to the yarn store. Well, I didn't really need to go, except I needed one needle. But, I didn't have my own wheels, so I had to go with them, right? Well, I got the needle, but then I found some other stuff that I didn't really need but it was really pretty, and I have specific projects in mind. So, by the time I got to the dealer, I mean the register, it was $77.80.

You didn't have to buy any of that stuff, did you? How did that make you feel?

Well, it was all good quality. And hey man, you didn't see the stuff I carried around and PUT BACK! Cashmere! See, I can walk away from it. I can quit anytime I want to.

But you don't want to, do you Eileen?

Hell, no, I mean, I'm not quite there yet.

So, is that all?

Well, there's a little more. You get a stamp on your stash card for every $20 and I was pretty close to 4 stamps, but close doesn't count, so....

Yes?

I found some cool stuff at the dashboard, eh, counter, stitch markers for $10. So then I could get my 4th stamp. The dealer, uh, my friend, just smiled at me, so I know it was good stuff.

Are you done now?

Yes, I think so.

Thank you for sharing, Eileen. I think you need to keep coming to Yarn Addicts Recovery Network (YARN)

Yes, thank you.

Oh, that's too funny--my husband is always telling me there's a 12-step program for this yarn addiction of mine.
